ABOUT GABY

Gabriella Nuñez-Garcia is a proud Cuban-Panamanian journalist from Miami, Florida, and joined Atlanta's 11Alive team in October of 2021 ready to tell the rich cultural stories of the metro Atlanta area.
 

She’s a proud first-generation graduate of the University of Florida (Go Gators!) and is a writer who has found herself in TV. She got her start in broadcast news in Jefferson City, Missouri at KRCG13 as an assignment editor and digital producer. Gaby also had a three-year stint in the land of theme parks while working as a multimedia producer at WKMG News 6 in Orlando producing the weekend morning newscasts while simultaneously producing content for the digital team.

 

Passionate about multimedia storytelling, Gaby loves to meet people and write about how they help shape the community. Wherever she goes, she hits the ground running, bringing the Latinx perspective to the forefront and seeking how to further unify a newsroom. At her heart, writing is her craft -- she's just open to the medium.
